SUMMER FUN
-
July 16, 2009
Thus far, it's been a great summer for music. Starting with the songwriting workshops in St. Petersburg, FL, I have really enjoyed sharing the message and music of 'Song of the Oceans.' Performing at 'Summer Thyme's Deli and Bakery' (Grass Valley, CA) and 'World Music Day' (Auburn, CA) provided me the opportunity to connect with folks in intimate settings. And, taking the seven-piece Tropicana Troubadours to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for a special evening event was 'off the charts.' Looking forward to teaming up with Frankie 'Dizzy Fingers' Maranzino at the Children's Festival at the Folsom Aquatic Center in August. We will be performing songs from all three CDs, including 'Song of the Bugs' (to be released in late spring of 2010)....and may even bring a few puppets to the event!
'OCEANS' Performance
-
May 31, 2009
Gary will have the opportunity to share original songs from his 'Song of the Oceans' CD from Coast-to-Coast this summer. Performances in California include a special afternoon performance at Summer Thyme's in Grass Valley (see calendar). Gary will be joined by Lance and Anna of 'The Tropicana Troubadours.' They will be performing original songs from 'Song of the Animals', as well as a few selections from 'Song of the Bugs' (to be released in 2010). Gary will be presenting a songwriting workshop in St. Petersburg, FL in early June, as part of the 'Pathways to Literacy' Conference. And, of course, 'Gary and the Tropicana Troubadours' will have a full-band performance in a special evening event at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in early July. Gary will be providing updates of current and past events on the Calendar page of the 'Song of the Oceans' website.
